Default New Enemy AI

Okay.
I don't know who else is already fed up with the ridiculous kiting ability of pretty much any casting monster in any GW chapter.
But I just spent a good 20 minutes CHASING down a mob of Skeleton Warlock/Skeleton Monks or whatever, literally. Every time I'd go to attack, I'd be poisoned, then blinded, and then they would kite me, and do nothing but run.
What ever happened to WAYPOINTS?
I chased one monk pretty well all the way back to the zone point.
It was ridiculous.
How the hell are we supposed to fight monsters, if all they do is run away?

This hasn't happened just once either.
I've zoned, again and again. Trying to find these damned Decayed Orr Emblems, and I can't kill anything because all they do is kite, and because they're kiting, my healers can't heal me, and I have to keep stopping to use Heal Sig. I practically die every time from poisoning because I can't heal myself while running after the damned thing.

LAME.

The rest of the AI seemed fantastic, up until I realised I wasn't killing anything because I was spending more time playing TAG.

Is it just me? Or is anyone else thoroughly annoyed by this?

It's alreaby been discussed over and over,
but i find it pretty annoying. and a t least, in kryta, you can run after those monsters.
just imagine what it'll be like in high level areas, such as the shiverpeaks, the kuzrick or luxon zone, where a single bad move makes you fight 2 or 3 groups at once.

What is kiting? And I presume that blastmmeans the Southern Shiverpeaks, correct? and the Kurzick Zone is pretty easy actually.

Kiting is basicly running away from enemies while staying in range of your allies..
And i think the new AI is hilarious, two rangers with Ignite arrows and they go nuts!

That should tell you something shouldnt it?

All I have to say is bring someone who can cripple opponents from range. Makes them alot easier to kill. Also, Casters dont kite if their melee people are dead or distracted. So if someone tanks the melee, the casters stay within range.

Idiot. Please point me to a game with worse AI. When monsters runaway solely by normally attacking them and never stop running, that is a bug and if it wasn't, no one would play the game because it is crap. You may like the stupid AI, but I assume that is because you can relate.

If I wanted your arrogant opinion I would have stated;
"Please be an arrogant prick here:"

Thanks though. Means the WORLD to me.

I'm not saying it makes the game any more difficult aside from the fact that you don't accomplish anything by running, non-stop, after an enemy that is 10 levels lower than you.
Crippling makes it easier yes, so does sprint, but that's not the point.

Reminds me of the kiting lesson in the begining part of factions.

Mr.T,Pity yourself.
None for Monks, none for Fire or Air Elementalists, none for Domination, none for Hammer Warrior and only conditional for Axe Warrior.

But slowing movement does nothing about the incessant running without reason or stopping.

DRRR DRR KIND OF HARD WHEN HENCHMEN ALWAYS FOLLOW YOU DRR DRRRR DRRRRR.
I COULD USE THE NEW POSITIONING SYSTEM FOR THE HENCHMEN COMMAND AND GET THEM TO STAY STILL, DRRR DRRRRRRRR.
But it doesn't matter because I had a monk with me anyway.
Half the time I've been doing this I've been soloing for Orr Emblems.
So it's kind of hard to chase them into a group you DON'T HAVE.

Sorry, but the moment you said monks should use Ethereal Burden if they're /Me your entire post was worthless.

Oh, and you can't knockdown your opponent if you can't catch them to build adren, you shouldn't need Sprint or Windbourne Speed just to kill things in PvE. If i wanted to chase things i'd play PvP more. Cat and Mouse is a shit game.

I didn't say they should, in fact, you don't need to use any of those things at all to effectively kill something that's running. I knock down opponents that are trying to run quite often playing my hammer warrior, so not sure what you are on about there. Why would you just continually chase something that's running anyway if it will come right back? I don't have to use sprint or speed boosts in PvE, and I don't have a problem killing things.
